Kayla Gale is a self-taught contemporary fine artist living and working from her studio home in the quiet prairies of Canada. She is known primarily for her muted colours and large scale minimal oil paintings. Kayla is inspired by emotional influences of being a woman, the concept of wabi sabi, and the constant tension found between intentional marks and the and unplanned. Kayla strongly believes in incorporating her life with her art, and her art with her lifestyle. When she is not painting, Kayla is spending time with her two children, her husband, her cat, and her rabbit Astrid.
