Quin Cheung
Quin Cheung’s journey into pottery began in 1999, when she took her first wheel-throwing class and quickly fell in love with clay. Though her passion for pottery took a backseat to a thriving international wedding photography business with her husband, Dave, under DQ Studios, her artistry continued to flourish. For over 15 years, Quin and Dave captured weddings and taught photography around the globe, traveling to destinations like India, Thailand, Spain, the Caribbean, Argentina, Germany, Mexico, Colombia, Peru, and throughout North America. Now, Quin has returned to pottery, sharing her craft with the same dedication she brought to photography.
Working in small batches, Quin creates each piece with care—thrown, trimmed, glazed, and fired by hand. Her goal is to make beautiful, functional vessels that fill hearts as much as they fill bellies. Each item bears her logo and is inscribed with the verse that guides her work: “So whether you eat, drink or anything you do, do it all for the glory of God.” – 1 Cor 10:31.
Quin is also committed to giving back. Inspired by a 2006 trip to Niger, Africa, where she supported health clinics, taught sanitation, and distributed mosquito nets, she remains dedicated to supporting missions focused on education, nourishment, and vocational training for at-risk young women. Every purchase of her pottery helps fund these causes that are close to her heart.
