Join Anne-Marie Gunst on her journey exploring the excitement of creating art! Anne-Marie has taken many different art courses and workshops, enjoying the challenge of learning new methods and techniques. She participates in the Calgary Community Painters Society art shows and recently exhibited at the Canopy Studios “See Me. Hear Me” art show.
Anne-Marie began her art career at the Mount Pleasant Art Centre and went on to complete numerous art courses at the Alberta College of Art and Design (now the Alberta University of the Arts). She studied figurative, landscape, and portraiture drawing and painting, using mediums such as charcoal, pencil, ink, acrylic, and oil paint. Additionally, she spent many years taking portrait and figure drawing as well as clay sculpture courses at the Roberto Osberg Gallery, with a strong emphasis on working from life and learning from drawing models.
To this day, Anne-Marie enjoys figurative drawing and participates in the biannual “Draw Till You Drop” events. Despite her training in traditional representational style, she embraces abstract and multimedia art.
