Nina Lee, a contemporary artist based in Calgary, Alberta, discovered her passion for painting later in life, despite having sketched since childhood. With the encouragement of her husband and two sons, she transitioned from a successful career as a Professional Engineer to pursue her dream of becoming a full-time artist. Nina’s work features abstract interpretations of landscapes and figures, characterized by hard-edged shapes and bold colors. Drawing inspiration from her “backyard” in the Canadian Rockies and moments from her travels, her art captures the essence of nature and her experiences.
